Welcome To Solemn Group Sorghum

Sorghum is in the subfamily Panicoideae. It is the third most important cereal crop grown in India and world’s fifth most important cereal in terms of both production and area planted. It is grown with limited water resources by a multitude of small farmers in many countries, usually without the application of fertilizers or other inputs. It is the important crop of India, Pakistan, Africa, Australia, and northern China, the drier areas of Brazil, Venezuela, France and Italy. It has been utilized by the ethanol industry for quite some time because it yields approximately the same amount of ethanol per bushel as corn. It has unique properties that make it well suited for food uses. Some sorghum varieties are rich in antioxidants and all sorghum varieties are gluten-free, an attractive alternative for wheat allergy sufferers. Sorghum is also an important animal feed used in countries like the U.S., Mexico, South America and Australia.
